DAY 01   ARRIBAL TO THE CITY OF LIMA

Welcome to Perú, you will be met by a transfer upon your arrival to the Lima airport, who will help you to the hotel and will assist you with your check-in.

 

DAY 02 ARRIVAL IN CUSCO – CITY TOUR

You’ll be picked up at your hotel at the appropriate hour and taken to the Lima airport to board your flight to Cusco.  At 13:20pm, we’ll begin our exploration of the former Imperial City of the Incas, a colonial city constructed upon the bases of Inca palaces and other structures. We’ll begin with a visit to Cathedral and Qoricancha, the Temple of the Sun, which was the Incas’ preeminent deity. After learning about its significance as Cusco’s religious center during the days of the empire,

From the Plaza we will head towards the colossal stone fortress of Sacsayhuamán, whose strategic location overlooking the city offers unequaled views. We’ll continue along the city outskirts to visit the Qenqo, Tambomachay, and Puca Pucará archeological sites before back to Cusco.

 

DAY 03 SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

At 08:20am we’ll head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We’ll make a stop en route to enjoy an impressive view of the Vilcanota River. Upon our arrival at the Pisac We’ll head uphill, climbing to Pisac Archeological Site one of the important fortresses which guarded the imperial capital, then we´ll go down to get the colorful Pisac market. We’ll then head to Urubamba, where we’ll stop for a buffet lunch (optional) in an area restaurant. Continuing on, we’ll visit Ollantaytambo, considered a “living Inca town”. With intact buildings, agricultural terraces, and reservoirs dating back to Incan times, Our final stop for the day will be the small town of Chinchero, to visit its colonial church. Afterwards, we’ll head back to Cusco.

 

DAY 04 DEPARTURE FOR AGUAS CALIENTES

At 9:00 am you’ll be picked up at your hotel, and taken to the train station to catch the train to Aguas Calientes. In route, you’ll enjoy a beautiful view of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with its snow-covered peaks and Incan agricultural terraces. Nearing the town, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, the Andean landscape will change and show the lush exuberance of the jungle brow and the Vilcanota River.You’ll be taken to the hotel upon arriving at the small and colorful town of Aguas Calientes.

 

DAY 05 LOST CITY OF MACHU PICCHU

Early in the morning  we will take our final 20 minute bus ascending to the Machu Picchu. Upon arrival you will meet your group for a 2.30min  guided tour which you'll learn about the Incas and visit all the most important areas of the citadel, following the tour you will have the rest of the day to explore Machu Picchu by yourself such as go to the sun gate and the inca´s bridge, Machu Picchu closes at 17:30 letting you more tan 7hrs in the wonderful ruins then we’ll return to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch. (Not included) After some free time in Aguas Calientes it will be time to catch our train back to Ollantaytambo station. Where our bus will be waiting for you to come back to Cusco

 

DAY 06 MORAY AND MARAS – SALT MINES

We’ll begin our trajectory en route to the Urubamba River Valley, where we’ll make our first stop at Moray, a complex system of concentric agricultural terraces which served as an Incan agricultural laboratory to experiment with their crops. Continuing our excursion we will arrive at Maras. Nearby the town, one finds the salt pans of Maras, locally known as salineras. These impressive staggered stone terraces have been cut into thousands of little pools through which a subterranean stream trickles, depositing so much salt that the mountainside appears to be covered in snow.

DAY 07 DEPARTURE FOR PUNO – SOUTH VALLEY

At 06:40am we’ll head for the bus station to begin our bus trip to Puno, along the way at the town of Andahuaylillas, we’ll visit an astoundingly ornate 17th century church with an impressive organ, then continue on with a visit to Raqchi archeological complex, known as the Temple of Wiracocha. We’ll stop for a buffet lunch in Sicuani before continuing on to “La Raya”, the natural border and a scenic stop between Cusco and Puno. We’ll arrive in Puno in the afternoon and you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.

 

DAY 08 FLOATING ISLAND UROS - AMANTANI

On this tour to Uros, Taquile and Amantani islands, we´ll pick you up from the hotel at 07:30am to the port, where we take our comfortable motor boat,  it will take us to the Uros floating islands (30 min travel time), before reaching Amantani (approx. 2 ½ hours) by averaging mid-day, where families of Amantani will wait for us.

 

DAY 09 TAQUILE ISLAND – PUNO

Wake up early in the morning  after our breakfast, we descend to the port of Amantani (8 am) to take our boat towards to Taquile island , have time for lunch in this island and then return to the Port to back to Puno by 04:00 pm

 

DAY 10 DEPARTURE FOR AREQUIPA

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in the morning and taken to the Puno bus station to board our bus enroute to the White City of Arequipa, where another transfer will take you to the hotel upon your arrival at approximately 14:00pm. And free afternoon

 

DAY 11 COLCA CANYON

We’ll travel to the town of Yura and Aguada Blanca y Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, which borders snowy Chachani peak. The reserve is a natural habitat for the most beautiful and rare of the South American camelids, the vicuña. Then we´ll arrive to Chivay where we´ll have a lunch in a traditional restaurant, then we have 30 minutes free time in town after that we visit the Calera Hot Springs, swimming pools and spending the night in Chivay

 

DAY 12 CONDOR’S CROSS – PUNO

We’ll depart very early in the morning to the Cruz Del Condor with our transport; this will take us around 2 hours driving. Along the way we´ll stop for some  pictures of the small villages of the canyon, such as Coporaque, Ichupampa and Lari, finally we arrive to Cruz del Condor view point. From here we can appreciate the Colca canyon and the impressive condors fly, then You’ll have time in Chivay for lunch (not included) before we return to Arequipa.

 

DAY 13 INTERNATIONAL DEPARTURE

You’ll be picked up at your hotel at the appropriate hour and taken to the Arequipa airport to board your flight to Lima. Upon your arrival, you board your outgoing international flight.
